(Lets consider the weather at both destinations is ok, otherwise you should add some extra on each flight plan due weather). Taking both of the flight plans, I am going to load Trip 1 rounded to the nearest and highest 100 plus taxi fuel (2400+300) and the 6300 Kg for the second one. The airline asks us to consider taking extra fuel for the return flight as ESKN fuel price is high, or there is a fuel supply problem and there is no refuelling available, or there is a fuel company strike so no fuel available. I have created to different flight plans EPGD-ESKN and than ESKN-EPGD (pics 1 and 2). Let´s imagine the above example: EPGD-ESKN-EPGD. (This is not always true as there are some exceptions which allow the airline not to plan for an alternate). ![]() To answer this, let me first say that each flight must carry enough amount of fuel so as to divert to an alternate, hold at the alternate for 30 minutes and something called contingency fuel. ![]() I´m sure would be very helpful in this matter!ĭear thank you for mentioning me and appreciating me that much, I feel very flattered.
